DFDS SUARDIAZ LINE
In March 2006 DFDS Lys Line joined forces with the well established Spanish operator Vapores Suardiaz Bilbao SA, to form a new joint venture company called DFDS Suardiaz Line Limited and operate a top class intermodal service linking Iberia with UK and Ireland.
Using the already well established networks of DFDS Lys Line in UK and Ireland, with offices at Immingham, Tilbury , Glasgow and Dublin combined with Vapores Suardiaz in Spain, with offices at Bilbao, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville the company has a large and significant presence in the key markets that it serves.
DFDS Suardiaz Line provides sailings from Bilbao every Friday to Bristol, Dublin and Glasgow offering an excellent transit time for all Spanish exporters shipping to UK and Ireland.
For UK and Irish exporters DFDS Suardiaz Line departs Bristol on Sunday, Dublin on Monday and Glasgow on Tuesday, arriving in Bilbao on Thursday evening offering an excellent transit time for all destinations throughout Spain and Iberia.
In addition, through it’s feeder network from Bilbao, DFDS Suardiaz Line can also offer connections to the Canary Islands - thus further extending the range of it’s service options.
The company employs a brand new 750 teu containership, “Endeavour” with a service speed of 18 knots to ensure that the sailing schedules can be met throughout the whole year. In addition DFDS Suardiaz Line has a large fleet of modern equipment to cater for all cargo types including, 20’, 40’ and 45’ pallet-wide containers, 45’ Hi-Cube and MEGACube pallet-wide containers, 20’ and 40’ flat-rack containers. Furthermore 45’ reefers will shortly be introduced to the market opening up opportunities for shipper’s of perishable cargoes.
