DFDS Lys Line and Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics (Samskip) in joint production cooperation between the Oslofjord and Rotterdam
DFDS Lys Line is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new joint production cooperation with Samskip for its container vessels between the Oslofjord and Rotterdam – starting 1 January 2007.
The service has been further improved, compared with 2006, by an increase in capacity by some 10%, and adjusting the ports and schedule to meet customer demands.
The new schedule offered by DFDS Lys Line is based on two roundtrips per week, according to the following schedule:

The service will be based on two high quality vessels – “Lys Point” (750 teu/2005) provided by DFDS Lys Line, and “Samskip Express” (803 teus/2006) provided by Samskip. The vessels are custom fitted for intake of 45’ containers, as well as standard 20’ and 40’ containers.
