We are pleased to announce that the merger between DFDS Lys Line AS and KST Shipping AS/ KST Logistics AS is now completed.
DFDS Lys Line AS is the acquiring company, and the companies KST Shipping AS and KST Logistics AS are thus merged into DFDS Lys Line AS. KST Terminal AS (100%) and North Sea Terminal AS (66%) are now subsidiaries of DFDS Lys Line AS. The senior management of the DFDS Lys Line consists of Hans-Jørgen Wibstad (Managing Director), Jan Rune Løvlie (Director) and Anders Tangre (Director).
DFDS Lys Line AS is a 100% owned subsidiary of DFDS A/S in Copenhagen. DFDS is a leading North European liner shipping company, listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, which has an annual turnover of DKK 6,3 billion (2005), approx. 4.200 employees, and operates a fleet of approx. 60 freight vessels/5 passenger vessels.
The merger has created one strong DFDS-unit in Norway with an annual expected revenue base exceeding NOK 1,1 billion. DFDS Lys Line has a fleet of approx. 20 vessels, offices in Oslo, Kristiansand and Brevik, ownership in three terminals in Norway, as well as subsidiaries in Holland, England and Ireland.
