DFDS Lys Line has entered into a joint production cooperation with Samskip for its container service between the Oslofjord and Rotterdam.
The service is based on two high quality vessels, "Lyspoint" (750 teus/built 2005) and "M/V Jork Ruler" 803 teus/built 2006).
Both vessels are custom fitted for intake of 45' containers, as well as standard 20' and 40' containers.

In order to provide, more capacity and a better and more flexible service to the market DFDS Lys Line, Samskip and Unifeeder have decided to establish a new joint production cooperation between the parties as from 1 May, 2009.
The new joint venture cooperation will include all present ports in the Oslo fjord and even adding Fredrikstad to the schedule to meet the customers' demands.
The new schedule offered by DFDS Lys Line is based on two weekly roundtrips per week, according to the following schedules:
